Welcome to the Extranet
What is the extranet?
The Extranet is a system designed by Acumen to assist them in the work they do with their recruiters. The primary purpose of it is to speed up the communication between fieldworker and recruiter, allowing for real-time updates whenever a new respondent is screened and recruited.
What are the advantages of this system?
The extranet is fully automated meaning that there is no need to duplicate information from the screener into a recruitment profile; the system does this as and when a new respondent is screened reducing the possibility of errors. In addition, the extranet provides recruiters with access to previous projects and the names of the respondents previously recruited. Similarly there is section for recruiters to enter details on their preferred recruitment methods, favoured demographics and availability; which Acumen uses to match recruiters to projects.
Is it secure?
When you log on to the Extranet you are creating a secure connection.
Any information that you submit via the extranet is through an encrypted connection, utilising the same technology as many online banks. This information is then received by our on-site servers which are both physically and digitally protected with 128 bit encryption and multiple firewalls to prevent malicious threats.
Are the respondent’s details stored?
Acumen Fieldwork retain a database of respondents that have participated in research on their behalf. This sole purpose of holding a record of this information is to maintain an accurate research history for each participant, ensuring that participation stays within the MRS guidelines and no fraudulent or repeat respondents are used. Acumen Fieldwork would never use these respondents for their own recruitment purposes and are fully committed to the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998.
