You could be forgiven for thinking of the Windsor Royal wedding if you were to hear the words ‘Middleton’ and ‘May weekend wedding’. But for the team at Acumen, this brings something entirely different to mind.
Amy Baker, Acumen’s Fieldwork Director, will soon be walking down the aisle to marry her long-time fiancé, Alec Middleton. Amy and Alec have long planned their May weekend wedding and were startled to hear the news that not one week before their big day, another Middleton would be having a very Royal event.
The tenuous links to the Windsor’s don’t stop there either. Not only will Amy be sharing the maiden name of the new Princess, she also holds the middle of Kate herself, which has provided no end of amusement in the Acumen office.
Needless to say, everyone at Acumen wishes both couples the best on their big days and a long and happy future together.

| Kate Middleton met her future spouse at the prestigious University of St Andrews where there were said to be ‘good friends’ before embarking on the romance that led to their nuptials. | Amy Baker joined the Acumen team in 2005 after completed her degree in Marketing at The University of Central Lancashire where she met her husband to be Alec. | ||
| The attention of the press was blamed for the early break of the royal couple which was said to have devastated the future Princess, but the couple were soon back together. | When asked by colleagues in a recent Hen Party game of Mr and Mrs what Alec would say is thing most likely to drive him away from Amy, she said that it would be her excessive use of her new iPad. Jealous, perhaps? | ||
| Kate Middleton, becoming of her Royal title, settled for a low-key hen party which is said to have consisted of a few close friends and family members and a quiet night in. More of a hen-don’t than a hen-do. Perhaps if Prince Harry had been organising it... | Not satisfied with one farewell to singledom, Amy had three hen-do’s. The last one consisted of drinks in the Pioneer Suite before heading out to wreak havoc in Manchester. Certainly a night to remember; it’s just unfortunate that none of the team can. |
